United Boxing Club is a community built around boxing, fitness, and personal growth. Our in-house café is a big part of that experience. We’re looking for a Café Barista / Customer Service representative with an driven long term mindset to run day-to-day operations, grow with a company, and be part of a growing café community hub with event activations, a healthy neighbourhood go-to spot and a space for members to refuel after training.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves coffee, cares about quality, and enjoys being at the centre of a busy, community-driven gym. You’ll be responsible of everything from drinks and snacks to systems and facility maintenance—treating the café like it’s your own.

Compensation includes a base hourly rate plus performance incentives tied to café growth and consistency.

Overview

❋ Community

You’ll help make the café into a true community hub, connecting with members, supporting events, activations, and creating a warm and welcoming “third place” for our community inside and outside of the club

❋ Operations

You’ll own day-to-day café operations, from making and serving great drinks, managing stock to keeping systems, space, and standards tight and consistent.

  • Open and close the café; maintain high standards of cleanliness, flow, and presentation.

  • Prepare and serve espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, protein lattes, and grab-and-go items to recipe and quality standards.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, keep key items in stock and reduce waste.

  • Facility maintenance ensuring all health, safety standards are followed in a clean space.

  • Introduce to client in-house promotions (rewards cards, “class + coffee” bundles, member discounts, launch days).

  • Track sales, and basic performance metrics; look for ways to improve consistency.

Key Responsibilities


  • 1+ years experience in café / barista / food-service.

  • Team mentality, you work closely with a team and treat the café as if it were your own.

  • Friendly and outgoing – you enjoy talking to members and becoming a familiar face in the club.

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and consistency.

  • Passionate about coffee, nutrition, fitness, and creating a welcoming environment.

  • Comfortable managing finances: sales, inventory, COGS, and reports.
