FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? You’re not the only one. We’ve answered the most common ones below to help you understand how training, memberships, and bookings work at United Boxing Club before you even step in the ring.
-
Yes! You can join without experience.
The camp is open to beginners as long as you’re healthy, willing to learn, and ready to train twice a day. Coaches will scale the drills, intensity, and any sparring to your level, so you’ll focus on strong fundamentals, good habits, and safe progression rather than “keeping up” with competitive boxers.
-
We offer a few different package options so you can choose what fits you best:
Training-Only Package – Includes all boxing sessions (2 per day), access to the local gym/club, group coaching, and camp activities like the Havana walk-around and team meetings. You handle your own flights, hotel, and meals.
All-Inclusive Package – Designed so you just show up and train. This typically includes:
Round-trip flights to Havana from a designated departure city
Airport–hotel–gym transportation
Hotel stay for the full camp duration
Most meals (details depend on the resort/hotel)
All training sessions, gym access, and scheduled excursions (like Viñales day trip and beach day)
Custom / Add-On Options – In some cases we can help with:
Extra nights before or after the camp
Upgraded rooms or single-occupancy
Bringing a non-training guest/partner
-
You’ll want to pack your own essential boxing + training gear so you’re comfortable and ready to work:
Boxing gloves (14–16 oz for sparring, plus bag gloves if you prefer)
Hand wraps (bring 2–3 pairs)
Mouthguard (mandatory if you plan to spar)
Skipping rope
Running shoes + indoor training shoes
Workout clothes for hot weather (light shirts, shorts, extra socks)
Headgear & groin protector (if you spar regularly, bring your own – limited gear may be available but not guaranteed)
Optional but recommended:
Small gym towel, water bottle, and electrolytes
Notebook to write down drills, rounds, and lessons
-
Yes, we highly recommend all participants purchase travel insurance. Your policy should ideally include:
Trip cancellation / interruption (in case you need to cancel last-minute)
Medical coverage abroad (including sports/fitness activities)
Lost baggage / delays
-
No. We include one full-day trip to Viñales (coffee farm, tobacco/cigar experience, and scenic countryside) and one beach day near the end of the week. If you prefer to skip an outing and stay back to rest or do extra training, that’s totally fine—we’ll outline all options in advance so you can choose what works best for you.
-
Yes. Non-boxing partners are welcome to join the trip at a reduced “companion” rate. They’ll enjoy the same flights, hotel, meals, and excursions, but won’t take part in the structured training sessions. It’s a great option if someone wants a Cuban getaway while you focus on boxing.
